A Lifelong Love of Water and Copenhagen
Born and raised in Denmark, Anders has spent the last 40 years exploring the beauty of the Copenhagen area. In 2017, he and his wife settled in the charming neighborhood of Christianshavn, right on the canal. The allure of the water was simply too strong, and it was a natural choice to acquire a boat to fully embrace their aquatic lifestyle.
The Boat
Just like the countless canals it once navigated, this boat carries a rich history. Built in 1981, it served faithfully as a Venetian taxi for years, its weathered frame a testament to countless journeys. When Anders and his wife stumbled upon it in 2018, it was a true diamond in the rough – a classic taxi with the spirit of a million miles under its belt.
They knew its potential, and with a shared passion for restoration, his wife and he, embarked on a meticulous journey. They transformed the boat from weathered workhorse to gleaming masterpiece. Hand-varnished mahogany now gleams with a high gloss, reflecting the warmth of the Venetian sun. Every detail, from bow to stern, has received their attentive care.
But functionality wasn't forgotten. The covered salon, offers a welcome respite from the sun or a sudden shower, while a heating system ensures comfort in the evening. This restored Venetian taxi is more than just a beautiful vessel; it's an invitation to experience the magic of Copenhagen's waterways in unparalleled style and comfort.
